BOSTON—March 31, 2015—Semper International, the leading placement firm for skilled help for companies involved in marketing, graphic design, programming and printing, announces that it has appointed Rick Littrell to the position of vice president, Direct Hires and TechCreative talent.
Littrell is a proven team leader with more than 30 years’ experience working with emerging technologies, business development opportunities, and start-up organizations. He is known as an innovative marketing professional with a reputation for maintaining customer focus and company profitability during strategy creation, development, launch and support.
Littrell is well known throughout the graphic arts and creative communities. He began his career in applications engineering and product management roles for such well-known industry vendors such as Agfa, Information International, and Scitex. He is a serial entrepreneur as founder of a regional digital services company (Graphics Xpress), an integrated marketing company (Magicomm LLC), and an international consulting and marketing services company (Littrell Associates). Additionally, he has worked for graphic communications service providers including General Motors Photographic, Magna Graphic, and more recently Winbrook Inc.
Littrell has also served as a vice president of communications, and most recently, president, of the Boston chapter of the American Marketing Association. He has been active in additional volunteer roles as vice president, board of directors, of the ARC of Greater Haverhill & Newburyport, the world’s largest community-based organization of and for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and Chairing the Personnel Committee for the town of Groveland, MA.
Littrell will be responsible for managing direct hire services, for both Semper’s traditional print and graphic arts areas where he is known extensively, as well as TechCreatives. ‘TechCreative’ is a market segment that Semper identified to take advantage of the intersection of the two worlds of creativity and technology—the people with the technical expertise to make marketing ideas a reality, and the areas where a business can apply this new way of thinking to grow and uncover new profit centers. Littrell was an influential consultant in the development of Semper’s TechCreative strategic planning. Littrell’s strong TechCreative background will support clients as they focus on staffing. He will be particularly adept at helping clients understand the application of complex technologies and processes, including integrated marketing strategies, digital marketing, marketing automation, content management solutions, and social media.
